It's Friday and the end of January. Where did January go? I'm glad as it's closer to spring and sunny days. I am tired of the gray of Washington State weather.

 

  Well today is Free Friday at  Bugaboo and this darling image is FAIRY HEART

I got in my scrap stash and all the items on the card are from scraps. Sweet huh?

I glittered her wings and used wink of stella glitter pen for the heart she is holding.

It's another week of challenges at Paper Pretties #295 - this weeks challenge is TEXTURE

 

I hope you can see the texture in the paper the yellow and green. They have so much texture and it's the way the paper is made. It's a homemade paper pad and it's lovely. The image I used is Sweet 16 Lily  she has car keys in her hand but I did not want keys so I gave her a bouquet of flowers. I also used Inktense water color pencils and love the look it gives. They are awesome water color pencils and well worth the cost and especially better with a coupon.

Well did everyone enjoy the Bugaboo / Catch the bug 4th birthday week long bash? It was good to see every one's creations. Thanks so much for playing along with us and for the comments on my blog for my cards posted. I really appreciate you all and so glad you stopped by.

 

Today we have a new release at Catch the bug/Bugaboo- Nutty couple..LOL yup happy lovely peanuts. I think I may give this to my hubby for our anniversary coming up ...yup valentines day. Feb 14th Awh sweet huh?..

Unscripted Sketches #241 / Thank you

Gee can you believe last month at this time it was Christmas. How time has already flown.

I hope everyone is doing great this new year and getting a lot of crafting and fun things done.

Today we have a new sketch from Unscripted Sketches #241.

I hope you play along and spread the word that Unscripted Sketches has a new sketch every Saturday. We don't have very many players and would love to have you play along.

 

This is the card I made using the sketch. The card looks like it's gray but it's really an awesome chocolate. Crazy computers with color changing ways, the Thank you is more tan/gold. the other two colors are close. Crazy. I love the Thank you die and I then embossed the "for being my friend" in white embossing powder. The strips were left over from a scrapbook project. The punched flowers were left over in a bowl on my desk so just pick and chose and added those with half pearls. I love the masculine look but still enough for feminine.

Welcome to day 6 of our Catch the bug 4th birthday celebration.

I have had so much fun playing along all week and sure hope you have had fun playing along too.

Today's challenge at Catch the bug is just kidding around make a birthday project for kids.

 

 

 

I chose to make a gold fish bag wrap. I know my great grand kids love gold fish and what a cute way to make a little cover. I just cut the dp a little wider than the gold fish bag and added the die to the top and punched a couple of holes and secured it with a ribbon. I added the kid topper to the top. If you were giving this to a girl you could use a girl topper. This was fun and know my grand babies /great grand babies will love it. After all Grandma made it.. : )  Image is kid topper pocket

Can you believe this month is going by so fast? Gesh this Saturday will be a month since Christmas. Where does the time go?

 

                      Well I hope you are ready for another challenge from Paper Pretties#294 and this is a favorite theme.. ANYTHING GOES!! Yea score!!

I decided to make a birthday card as those seem to be ones I need the most and others ask me for.

I chose kind of unisex colors, either / or.  I like the colors. I dug out my stampin up large stamp wheel and did the swirls down the side with versa mark. I just laid down some twine and let it do what it wanted to do, because it sure wasn't listening to me. I do like the added texture it gave. I used the image Birthday balloons for you digi.  It was a fun card as always to make. I hope you play along and link to Paper Pretties.

I chose my favorite funny lady  Stella birthday fireman call  I chose the number paper because of it being a birthday card and I love this saying that is from Art impressions. It's quite an old stamp and I have used it quite a bit. It really fit this card.

Today is also new release day at Catch the bug and bugaboo. This image is Birthday girl. She's a cutie and I loved coloring her. I am not much of a pink person but I loved the rich pink colors and of course green is a favorite color so she was fun to color. She is just too girly girl to give her a different color combo. I added a lot of bling to each scallop, because the challenge is to BLING IT UP!

Fun sketch huh??? I loved making this card and making the image off center. I have a hard time making images off center but I love the look and  it really equals out ok with the sentiment taking over the left side of the card. Well this is my card and I am a lovin it!! I love this crazy image and the clean and simple look. Really quite a simple card to make. I did stamp the mouth twice and layered it to give some depth. Of course had to add those crazy google eyes.

This challenges is being sponsored by Inky Impressions. Yea they have some awesome images.

This is the image I chose to use from Inky Impressions  Mamaw skiing.  A fun grandma skiing the slopes. I never took to skiing. I am not a cold weather person. Water ski ok but snow ski no way. I got some awesome designer papers from a friend and chose to use them for the background I thought it needed a little cheerful background paper. I added the hearts and the sentiment was a great one from PTI. I liked the play on words for the skiing and life .. enjoy the ride.  I hope you play along and remember to use a sentiment on the front of your card.

Happy Wednesday and another challenge at Paper Pretties #293

MONOCHROMATIC 

 

I used the image one of those days and the yellow colors for my card. I have used this image before and I love the sentiment. YES I have had one of those days, many of those days.. I think we all can relate to it.  I kept this card pretty simple and paper pieced the shell. and little color on the chick.I hope you find your monochromatic colors and play along. A few weeks back my card won over at Love to crate which earned me a chance to be a guest designer at Love to create. Yea me, score!! I am so happy to be able to bring to you my card using the challenge below.

I am the guest designer for Love to create challenge #98 which is to CREATE A SIDE STEP/CENTER STEP CARD WITH SNOWFLAKES

 

Sponsor this week is Art by miran - talk about cute images. Yea me again getting to use snowman girl kissed.

This is the card I made for the challenge, I had to look on U-tube on how to make a center step card. I think I've made one before but really cant remember. I do like the look and the way it came out. I also added the snowflakes to the side and the paper already had the awesome design at the top edge which was a nice touch. The darling image was fun to color and added some glitter to the snow circles in the design image. This was a fun card to make and so glad I was able to be a part of the Love to create dt for this week. I hope I inspired you to play along over at Love to crate and make your center/side step card with snowflakes..

Good say and hope your Saturday is off to a great start. I have a great challenge for you from Unscripted Sketches #239.. I hope you get a chance to play along.

 

Well how simple is this card.. I knew as soon as I saw the sketch just what I was going to use for the horizontal piece. This already pre-made stitched folded ribbon. Just cut to size and you have this awesome piece.  If you saw my posting from yesterday you saw the sentiment.. well that is what I get for not putting my stamps away before I start another project.. I really try to start with a clean slate each time but sometimes I just cant find something else to work so I used it again. I love this new stamp set from Simon says.

It's finally Friday and I am so happy. It seems with having a day off here and there over the holiday's that it's hard to put in a full week.. LOL.  I really need to retire..

 

Today is free Friday at Catch the bug and we have Dog Heart Topper  I did not use him as a topper but as the focal point on the card. I also had these hearts from my stash that I thought went perfect. I love the cute look on his face. I love my little four legged kid and he does make my heart happy. This is a new sentiment stamp set I got from Simon Says. I really like the black background it makes the hearts and dog pop off the black. I hope you get over to the bugaboo store and get your free little dog and if he's not there make sure you check back later. He'll be there all week but he will be gone by next Friday. Have fun using him.
