Inspiration Destination #40 - This is Everyday life

Wednesday July 1, 2015

Our sponsor this week is Patties Creations

I chose to use this lovely creation from Patties Creations called Beach cabana trio.. I have never been to Florida but I watch HGTV and see beach places with awesome colors.. So I went with this color creation. I love the look and brightness of the card. I added my clouds to the back ground and also added a little line of blue for a hint of water.. I did the brown for the sand and took a terry cloth towel with a little copic 0 and added to the cloth then added to the brown (I did the sand first before I colored anything else on the card.. don't ask me how I know to do that first..)   I added the sentiment on the vellum as I did not want to take away from the background. I added a few sand dollars and a shell and of course I needed a bird .. it's not a seagull but I kind of gave it the look in color.  I so want to be on this beach..
I hope you head over to Inspiration Destination and play along.

Catch the bug / New Release / Live laugh love

Tuesday June 30, 2015

Welcome to new release day at Catch the bug / Bugaboo
LIVE LAUGH LOVE BUTTERFLIES

This is a fun release.  I love butterflies they are so colorful and you see quite a few during the spring/ summer and they look so delicate. I know there are probably many ways to use the circle sentiments. I just used a small circle die and then outside of the dotted area I colored with a copic to make it look like another layer, then cut a larger circle of su dp and layered it. I chose washi tape add along the side of each circle, added some sequins and thought that was enough.

Scrap card and new to me die - Soft & sweet

Monday June 29, 2015

I was needing a baby card and I had this die I have not used of the t-shirt.. I though why not make a shirt and make it with the arrow pointing to the baby.. Perfect for the baby shower card. Also this stamp set from Inkadinkado I have never used before. I chose some DCWV papers and the arrow is also from My favorite things along with the shirt. . I will be using this shirt again. I think this die could make a great masculine card with some camo paper, or some animal print. I am sure I must have some words to put on it.. hummm I will be making another card soon with those idea..

Last one was masculine. I think this one could be quite masculine also. I stamped the Simon says happy birthday on the base in SU ink. Then die cut the frames with SU dies. I used hearts and stars from the Tech Tues. (globe die I used on another card posted earlier) I used scraps of paper for all of this. I used wink of stella on the hearts and stars.

This little boy is so cute and the little critter is going for that yummy sandwich.. He was a lot of fun to color. I am using the image Birthday girl / 29 again... Too cute I don't know that I would want to be 29 again but I would like to be younger.. Now that I am older I would change some things in my life and saved more and be retired now vs. 18 months from now.. Oh well it is what it is. I am thankful for so much in my life.. This is my fun card using the image Cool cat kitty from SLS lines.. How funny are they?? I had this sentiment that is un-mounted and quite old.. I think it came from rubber baby buggy bumper.. I don't even know if they are still around.. I though it fit the riff raff group of cats..   I used the plaid paper from BG max and whiskers and the orange is from recollections (michaels) and base is kraft from the Kraft journal site. I used a fish button with the shank cut off below .. to kind a go with the fish/cat theme.  I hope you take time and play along over at Inspiration Destination.. it's always anything goes.. New release at Catch the bug / Bugaboo

Welcome to a new release of the image Butterfly rose corner

I usually don't do larger cards. This one is measuring 5 inch square.  I really wanted to use this sentiment from Paper trey ink and the hint of a cross in the background. I got a little goober on the stamp when I stamped it off and of course did not know till I lifted the image. Bummer but the roses and all were already colored in.  What to do but say it's a home made card..   I know... if I hadn't mentioned it you'd never of seen it..  LOL.

Ooh La La digi papers - #183 - Happy Birthday / Chinese Vase Florals

Monday June 22, 2015

I decided since I got two files to use of digi designer papers I would make two cards for the theme #183  Happy Birthday at Ooh La La

I liked both files for the theme and so made two birthday cards as both are so different.

Thanks you Ooh La La for letting me be a guest designer for the month of June.

I made this card today using the Chinese Vase Floral Extravaganza digi set.. Again there are more papers than what I used.. I wanted to use as much as I could so I made a gate folded card but the left side over laps just a quarter inch or so.   I wanted to use the awesome framed photo and to make it work for me I chose to do my card so the frame part is on the front and then the tag has the sentiment on it. The inside is left for a larger sentiment.   I used a SU card base and the sentiment is from PTI.

I think I am addicted to digi papers.. Tell me these aren't BEAUTIFUL.. I dare you. I drooled all over them.. I love the turn back page, the woven paper..all of them.. There are more than the few that I used in the file.  I just love the looks.  This is Seaweed wrap digi's by Ooh La La.

The theme is Happy Birthday so I found a cute sentiment by the rubber café that I thought went great with the image and then the happy birthday is from paper trey ink.  I used SU card base.

Saturday June 20, 2015

Welcome to a new challenge at Catch the bug
BINGO

Here is the BINGO card to go by..

This is my card using Kidz sitter music   and I chose to use the diagonal left to right.. Teal/orange/pink - Ribbon - Embossing
I used SU card base. I used a piece of water color paper and clear embossed the PTI music and heat embossed, I then took Dylusion sprays in Teal, Pink, Orange and spritzed the water color paper. I then adhered it to the SU card base that is a turquoise/teal color.. I added the ribbon and the sentiment is from Tech. Tues. I used copics to color the paper before I stamped the sentiment. I colored the image in Copics and fussy cut her out so she could sit on the ribbon. I used some wink of stella on her but again you cant see it.  I felt like this child is at summer camp just sitting on a dock listening to music and having a great time.
